Laura Fleetwood is a Midwest gal. Wife, mother of girls, and sister of sisters. She’s got a heart for women.
Today, Laura’s passion is helping Messy Miracles (herself included) seek the still amidst an often chaotic life. She is an anxiety warrior and advocate whose “super power” is helping girls and women open up about their struggles and providing a common language and framework to simply do the next right thing in love…
Laura co-authored the book I Heart Mom, she writes at seekingthestill.com and is a contributor at The Mighty, a division of the Huffington Post.
In our time together, Laura recounted the time that landed her in a mental hospital and shows us how she overcame anxiety. She also stressed the fact that she very much seemed ok on the outside but was not ok on the inside. In her story, she says that her breakdown was the most devastating but the most incredible thing that has happened to her. After a long journey of self-acceptance, surrender, intentional healing, and taking care of her body, Laura has created a team and a mindset of health that she just needs to share with other women. I certainly enjoyed the practical tips she shared along with feeling that we don’t have to be alone in this feeling of walking toward wellness.
