For the Christ follower who knows that the Holy Spirit exists but they feel UNSURE on how to connect and interact with Him, you’ll be encouraged today by listening to my conversation with Kathryn Maack. Kathryn is the cofounder of the ministry Dwellings and the co-author of the book titled, Whole: The Life-Changing Power of Relating to God with All of Yourself. She is passionate about the future of the church and wants to encourage people to surrender their entire self to the Lord. I was thankful to chat with Kathryn about the work of the Holy Spirit in her life. How she has seen the spirit lead her and equip her for her roles in life. And you won’t want to miss the last half of our conversation where she shares how a homeless boy’s life was changed dramatically because of her willingness to hear and obey the Holy Spirit’s instructions.
I hope you’ll be changed from hearing her story and it will encourage you to be open to the Spirit’s ever-present action in your life. I invite you to participate in communicating with the Holy Spirit. He is our lifeline to true living and the connection between the seen and unseen. You will never regret following Him.
I love everything Kathryn is doing to connect people to a richer and more abundant life with God.
She co-wrote the book Whole as a way to acknowledge all of our being – our entire selves – before God; with our head and our heart, in truth and in spirit, in being and in doing, and in the identification of being both sinner and saint so that we may bear His glory in the world every single day. It’s so easy to compartmentalize our faith. But friends, I know this from experience… doing this leaves us dry and frankly dead in our faith. Kathryn and I chat about how communicating with the Holy Spirit is integral in fully relating to the Lord.
She’s been stretched from being a woman in the church leading other women to a woman outside the walls of the church leading both men and women to connect with the Lord. Her transition from a stay at home mom, to accidentally landing in women’s ministry at church, prepared her for her the founding of Dwellings.
Dwellings is a ministry seeks to lead all people to experience the presence of God in unique ways.
These unique ways don’t look like your traditional church gathering: house church and small group gatherings like worship nights and retreat is where Dwellings focuses their mission. They offer resources for anyone wanting to participate as a community in authentic worship of the Lord.
Keep up with Kathryn by buying the book Whole, participate in her ministry Dwellings, and follow her on Instagram.
